The dinner and auction is one of the largest annual fundraisers sponsored annually by our school. The auction helps offset the operating budget for our school and your participation is important. The school uses the funds raised for operating expenses that make many of our programs possible. Families have an obligation to donate money or items for the silent auction, oral auction or classroom basket. Families may purchase items to donate and/or help the school obtain donations from friends, family, community businesses and attractions. Donation request letter and forms may be obtained from the school office. Families should be creative in their choice of procurements - try to think of unique and exciting items or services. Items or money should be delivered to the school by March 1, 2010
The auction also provides families with opportunities to meet their annual volunteering obligation. Volunteering assists in building the community spirit within St. Anne Catholic School. Volunteering opportunities include:
obtain donations from the community
assemble decorations prior to the event
decorate the parish center
arrange donated items in baskets for silent auction
assemble and decorate classroom baskets
volunteer the night of the auction
Come to the auction meetings or contact the school office if you are available to assist with the auction.
Donation Obligation
Each family should complete and submit the “family” donation form to the teacher or school office by
March 1, 2010
to ensure your family is credited with the appropriate donation. The obligation is an item or items valued at $50 or a cash donation. New to the St. Anne auction is providing the item(s) or money over one month in advance of the auction. This allows volunteers to adequately assemble the classroom baskets as well as use the money to purchase needed items. Your diligence in having your donation at school by March 1
st
is greatly appreciated.
Classroom Basket Themes
The auction committee and teachers have chosen themes for each classroom. Each family should complete and submit the “family” donation form to the teacher by March 1, 2010 to ensure your family is credited with the appropriate donation.
